I am the proud father of seven children. Sarah: a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate and married to Will Pitts. Shelby: a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate with a Masters in Urban Education and married to Seth Baldwin . Shawn: a student athlete on a football scholarship at Vanderbilt, he plays QB.

My wife Kate and I have been married 10 years. Kate, formerly a second grade elementary school teacher AND owner and instructor of Blue Point Yoga Studio in Durham, NC is now a mother of triplets Ella and Leo, 6 years old (the third triplet Madison Quinn went back to heaven after 7 months in the womb and 7 hours in our arms Dec 17, 2009) and our youngest Jordan Grace (5 years old).

Current Board Member Durham Eagles Pop Warner Youth Football organization

• Raised over $130,000 including a grant from NFL Charities to provide lights at Lowes Grove middle school
• Founder of $1000 college scholarship fund for Durham Eagles pop Warner youth football players who complete at least 5 years… currently over 100 boys with funds available for college at the Triangle Community Foundation

Founder of Turning Point Adolescent Center – a 50 employee day treatment and community support mental health agency providing services to over 300 families in Durham since 2007

ADVISOR to Zoweh Ministries, an organization promoting “life from the Heart” for Christian men and woman
